Since February 2023 I am adjoint researcher at the Research Center for Neurological Diseases (CIEN), in Madrid (Spain). The center has wonderful facilities and an outstanding database, and it includes platforms for clinical evaluation, biomarkers, neuroimaging, and a biobank. The foundation develops research on different neurological aspects, although it is definitely specialized in Alzheimer’s Disease. I will be mostly involved in research associated with cortical morphology and atrophy, especially for what concerns the parietal lobes and, in particular, the precuneus. This is an amazing opportunity, to keep on investigating the relationships between evolution and medicine and the constraints associated with the parietal cortex, keep on bridging prehistory and neuroscience.
