Biolinguistics

There is an international symposium on biolinguistics in Barcelona, October 1-3, organized by Cedric Boeckx for the Catalan Institute for Advanced Studies (ICREA). People from cognitive sciences, ethology, genetics, comparative psychology, paleontology, philosophy, and robotics will present a multidisciplinary forum on the biological foundations of language evolution. The meeting includes talks by Albert Bastardas, Luca Bonatti, Emiliano Bruner, Ruth de Diego Balaguer, Tecumseh Fitch, Koji Fujita, Judit Gervain, Toni Gomila, Kleanthes Grohmann, Simon Kirby, Carles Lalueza-Fox, Kazuo Okanoya, Christophe Pallier, Antoni Rodriguez-Fornells, Joana Rossello, Douglas Saddy, Wendy Sandler, Ricard Sole, Luc Steels, Sonja Vernes, and Charles Yang. The attendance is free, and the final program will be soon available.
